Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology with Honours (BMIW)
The Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology program combines engineering principles with cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to prepare students for careers in the evolving manufacturing industry, with a particular focus on Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT). This program emphasizes technical skills, problem-solving, and hands-on learning while integrating innovation, sustainability, and smart manufacturing. Over four years, students will gain expertise in areas such as materials science, automation, IoT-enabled systems, and production optimization, equipping them for the future of advanced manufacturing.
In the first year, students establish a foundation in mathematics, technical drawing, and an introduction to manufacturing processes. The second year covers core subjects like robotic and automation , quality control, process optimization, and additive manufacturing. By the third year, students dive into advanced topics such as business process integration, industrial IoT, and manufacturing management. The fourth year is centered around hands-on learning through integrated projects and industry internships, where students work on real-world applications of I data-driven production systems, and smart factory design. Electives in areas such as digital factory and simulation , data structure and algorithm, and IT Communication in digital manufacturing ensure students are prepared for the latest trends in the field. Throughout the program, students work with industry-standard equipment and learn to integrate IoT and automation into manufacturing systems.
Graduates will be equipped with skills for roles in advanced manufacturing, focusing on optimizing production processes using IoT and smart technologies. Career opportunities include Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Automation Specialist, IoT Solutions Architect, Quality Control Engineer, Process Engineer, and Smart Factory Manager. This program prepares students to lead in Industry 4.0 environments, leveraging IoT, data analytics, and automation to enhance efficiency, innovation, and sustainability in sectors like automotive, aerospace, and electronics manufacturing.
A student shall only be conferred a Bachelor Degree or Diploma subject to the following conditions: -
(a) The student must obtain a Good Academic Standing (KB) in his final semester;
(b) The student must pass all Courses required by the curriculum;
(c) Any other conditions set by the University.
(d) The Good Academic Standing Award (KBA) shall be given to students who have fulfilled the conditions of all above.

Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Product Design) with Honours (BMID)
The Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology in Product Design program merges engineering, design, and technology principles to develop innovative products. It aims to build technical proficiency, creativity, practical experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a focus on sustainability and ethics.This program equips students with a balanced education in engineering, design, and technology, preparing them to lead and innovate in the product design industry.
The curriculum spans four years, covering core subjects such as mechanics of materials, electronics, circuit design, manufacturing processes, product design principles, and advanced topics including advanced CAD and simulation, product development and innovation, sustainable design, prototyping and fabrication techniques, and project management. The final year will focus on specialization and integration through a capstone project, elective courses in areas like robotics and advanced materials, internship/industry placement, and entrepreneurship for engineers. This comprehensive curriculum ensures that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, with a particular emphasis on a practical approach to learning, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. Students will learn using industry-standard equipment and tools, preparing them for the demands of the modern workforce.
Career opportunities for graduates include roles as product designers, industrial designers, CAD specialists, project managers, manufacturing engineers, and development engineers.

The fourth year focuses on hands-on learning through a advanced machining, industry internships, and electives in areas like lean manufacturing, and manufacturing system. Throughout the program, students will work with industry-standard equipment and tools, gaining real-world experience in modern manufacturing technologies.
