About Us
The Faculty of Industrial and Manufacturing Technology and Engineering (FTKIP) was established on the 15th of September 2023 after the merger of Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering (FKP) that has been operating since 22nd June 2001 in the main campus at Durian Tunggal, with the Department of Manufacturing Engineering Technology from the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Technology (FTKMP) that has been operating since 1st of July 2018 in the industrial campus at MITC, Ayer Keroh.
With the aim of producing world-class graduates, FTKIP offers industry-relevant undergraduate programs in the field of industrial and manufacturing engineering, engineering technology, and technology. Furthermore, FTKIP also offers comprehensive postgraduate programs, including Master of Science, Master of Manufacturing Engineering, Doctor of Philosophy, and Doctor of Engineering.

Our Offices
FTKIP is situated on both UTeM campuses—the main campus and industry campus. We currently run 20 labs, with 10 at the manufacturing engineering department building on the main campus. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing machines and tools relevant to teaching and learning as well as research purposes.
