Graduate in Manufacturing Engineering

The Manufacturing Engineering Department (MED) offers 2 Bachelor with Honours programs for prospective students: Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering and Bachelor of Industrial Engineering. These programs have been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Committee, which ensures that the graduates are acknowledged to work in any sector in Malaysia as well as abroad. Both programs are a 4-year program that equip students with knowledge to design, optimize, and manage manufacturing processes and systems. The courses explore the fundamental knowledge of engineering as well as the sciences of material and manufacturing processes. With the IR4.0 revolution, the importance of automation dan digitalization of manufacturing activities are also taught and experience by the students. Overall, a Manufacturing Engineering degree equips students with a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them to address complex challenges in the manufacturing sector.

Entry Requirements

Pass the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with honors (GRADE C) in Malay/Malaysian Language or honors (GRADE C) in Malay/Malaysian Language July Paper and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above) in the examination SPM;

AND

Passed KPM Matriculation/ UM Science Foundation/ UiTM Foundation/ UKM Pintar Foundation/ Polytechnic TVET Foundation with at least a CGPA of 2.00;

Pass the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with honors (GRADE C) in Malay/Malaysian Language or honors (GRADE C) Malay/Malaysian Language July Paper and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above) in the examination SPM;

AND

Have a Diploma or other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate;

OR

Passed the Malaysian Higher School Certificate Examination (STPM) Year 2022 or earlier with at least CGPA 2.00 and Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in three (3) subjects including General Studies;

OR

Passed the Matriculation/Foundation exam in 2022 or before / Other equivalent foundation with at least a CGPA of 2.00;

OR

Pass the GCE A-Level examination with at least 9 points and the applicant is sponsored by JPA or MARA;

OR

Pass the Diploma International Baccalaureate (IB) exam with at least 24 points and the applicant is sponsored by JPA or MARA.

Pass the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with honors (GRADE C) in Malay/Malaysian Language or honors (GRADE C) in Malay/Malaysian Language July Paper and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above) in the examination SPM;

AND

Passed the Malaysian Higher School Certificate Examination (STPM) with at least a GPA of 2.00 and get at least:

  • Grade C (NGMP 2.00) General Studies subject.
  • Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) other subjects.

Additional Requirements

Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Band 2.0 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) untuk peperiksaan yang bermula Sesi 1 tahun 2021 atau Band 2 untuk peperiksaan sehingga tahun 2020 mengikut tempoh sah laku pada tarikh permohonan

[Bagi pelajar GCE A-Level dan Diploma International Baccalaureate sahaja].

Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Skor 500 dalamTest of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) dan Band 5.5 dalam International English Language Testing System(IELTS)
